How to Vote — Step by Step / படிப்படியாக வாக்களிக்கும் முறை

1. Find your polling booth / உங்கள் வாக்குச்சாவடியைக் கண்டறியுங்கள்

   Visit the ECI voter portal to find your assigned booth. You must vote at your designated polling station only.

   ECI வாக்காளர் போர்ட்டலில் உங்கள் வாக்குச்சாவடியை கண்டறியுங்கள். நீங்கள் நியமிக்கப்பட்ட வாக்குச்சாவடியில் மட்டுமே வாக்களிக்க வேண்டும்.

2. Carry valid ID / செல்லுபடியான அடையாள ஆவணம் எடுத்துச் செல்லுங்கள்

   You need ONE of these photo ID documents:

   • Voter ID Card (EPIC) — most common
   • Aadhaar Card
   • Passport
   • Driving License
   • PAN Card
   • Service photo ID (central/state govt employees)

   வாக்காளர் அடையாள அட்டை (EPIC), ஆதார், பாஸ்போர்ட், ஓட்டுநர் உரிமம் அல்லது PAN அட்டை — ஏதேனும் ஒன்று போதும்.

3. Arrive at your booth / உங்கள் சாவடிக்கு வாருங்கள்

   Polling is from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Arrive early to avoid long queues. If you're in the queue by 6:00 PM, you WILL be allowed to vote.

   காலை 7 முதல் மாலை 6 வரை. சீக்கிரம் வாருங்கள். 6 மணிக்கு வரிசையில் இருந்தால், நீங்கள் வாக்களிக்க அனுமதிக்கப்படுவீர்கள்.

4. Identity verification / அடையாள சரிபார்ப்பு

   Show your ID to the polling officer. They will verify your name on the electoral roll and mark your left index finger with indelible ink.

   உங்கள் அடையாள அட்டையை வாக்குப்பதிவு அதிகாரியிடம் காட்டுங்கள். அவர்கள் உங்கள் பெயரை வாக்காளர் பட்டியலில் சரிபார்ப்பார்கள்.

5. Vote on the EVM / EVM-ல் வாக்களியுங்கள்

   Enter the voting compartment. Find the TVK symbol (Whistle 🔔) on the Electronic Voting Machine. Press the blue button next to the TVK candidate's name.

   வாக்குப்பதிவு அறைக்குள் நுழையுங்கள். EVM-ல் TVK சின்னத்தை (விசில் 🔔) கண்டறியுங்கள். TVK வேட்பாளர் பெயருக்கு அருகில் உள்ள நீல பொத்தானை அழுத்துங்கள்.

6. Verify on VVPAT / VVPAT-ல் சரிபார்க்கவும்

   After pressing the button, check the VVPAT slip that appears for 7 seconds. It should show the TVK symbol and candidate name. This confirms your vote was recorded correctly.

   பொத்தானை அழுத்திய பிறகு, 7 வினாடிகள் தோன்றும் VVPAT சீட்டை சரிபார்க்கவும். TVK சின்னம் மற்றும் வேட்பாளர் பெயர் காட்டப்பட வேண்டும்.

7. Exit the booth / சாவடியை விட்டு வெளியேறுங்கள்

   Leave the polling station quietly. Do not discuss your vote inside the polling area. Your vote is secret and protected by law.

   வாக்குச்சாவடியை அமைதியாக விட்டு வெளியேறுங்கள். உங்கள் வாக்கு ரகசியமானது, சட்டத்தால் பாதுகாக்கப்படுகிறது.
